Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer (Internal)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (on completion of Probationary Period)
Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm (4pm on Friday) – Negotiable
Job Location: Battle, East Sussex, TN33 0AQ
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
Holiday: 20 Days P.A. plus Bank Holidays (after probationary period, first year is pro-rata entitlement)

To further improve the offering to clients, Imtex Controls is seeking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer to be based at our Sales office in Battle, East Sussex.
This role will predominantly be focused on the Valve Actuation sales with support to the Valve Communication Sales Engineer when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and process customer sales enquiries for Valve Actuation products
- Prepare priced quotations ensuring contractual, technical & commercial accuracy
- Liaison with suppliers / purchasing department as necessary to enable accurate quotations
- Develop good working relationships with customers to ensure their requirements and expectations are met and delivered efficiently
- Liaison with the engineering, production and purchasing teams to ensure the commercial and technical status of specific projects and quotations
- Advising Senior Management of issues that may require resolution at a higher level
- Update and maintain the ERP system with orders and customer details
- Update the production status on a weekly basis
- Supporting the Sales team as and when necessary at Desktop events / Exhibitions
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in an engineering or technical capacity
- Technical / Engineering qualification, preferably to degree level
- Sales experience preferable (but not mandatory)
- Commercially astute and comfortable negotiating at all levels
- Computer literate with MS Office, SharePoint and Teams
- Good verbal and written skills, as well as a confidence to communicate in person
- Prepared to travel to our factory in Deeside, Flintshire on a quarterly basis (or as necessary)
- Some knowledge or experience of working within valve actuation (or similar industry)
